Sport A New Life 別有動天
HKASMSS co-organized the supported the CUHK Medical Society Annual Health Exhibition, "Sport A New Life 別有動天". The objectives of this exhibition are to share health information and to increase the health awareness among the general public. To celebrate the Olympic and because of the Olympic mania, this year, the organizing committee has decided to focus on sports-related health issues and hence chose the theme, Sport A New Life 別有動天. The Opening Ceremony was held on 11 Oct 2008, officiated by the Dr. York Chow, Secretary of Food & Health Bureau, Prof. TF Fok (Dean, CUHK Faculty of Medicine), Prof. KM Chan (Chief Academic Advisor of the Exhibition), Dr. Patrick Yung (President, HKASMSS), commercial groups and the members from Lions Club. There was an extensive exhibition to show case the basic knowledge on sports, especially on "Sports & Health", "Sporting", "Sports in Elderly" and "Sports Injuries". The public enjoyed very much the featured talks, dance and Kung-fu performances and also complimentary health checks.
